Tips for a new waitress at an italian restaurant?
I am starting training tomorrow at an italian restaurant and I’m nervous about learning the menu and wine list. any suggestions? i dont know what one word in almost every plate means….how am i going to remember all of this?
also, im horrible with wine descriptions…oh lordy! my manager said to get the flight for my pau hana
i worked banquets before so im nervous about actually TAKING the orders and fireing them and all that jazz. banquets is easier i’d presume
just dont lose your focus, even if you make a mistake..
go to the kitchen a have a bite of all their dishes in the menu and when you are eating remember each dish with some item in your house, for example if you are eating ravioli remember your lipstick and so on……
Wine is relatively easier have a sip and read the label
