what is the best inexpensive seafood restaurant in San Francisco?

Looking for a nice seafood restaurant near Fishermans Wharf. Reasonably priced with good fresh seafood.

Scoma’s is the only decent restaurant on Fisherman’s Wharf. The rest are tourist traps to be avoided. Scoma’s is moderately priced for San Francisco, but you usually need reservations at least a couple of weeks in advance.

For something reasonably priced where you can get a table on short notice, try Sam’s in Belden Alley. It’s only a short cab ride from Fisherman’s Wharf, and MUCH better food!

if you love the typical SF fish stew called Cioppino go to Cioppino restaurant at Fisherman Wharf. One stew (with chunk of fresh fish, mussles, prawns etc) is only 19 $ and it’s more than enough for two people !
