Wheres is the BEST seafood restaurant in Orlando?
My boyfriend’s birthday is coming up and I want to take him out to dinner to a nice seafood place. He loves seafood. I live in orlando so who’s the best and where’s the best?
Stay away from Red Lobster – they are the nearest thing to a seafood "fast-food" restaurant" The quality is what you’d expect from a down-scale chain – consistently mediocre at best. Most of the food is breaded and deep-fried, so all you taste is the grease anyway. The wine list is a bad joke – most of it has screw-caps.
Fishbones is dramatically better in every way. The oak-citrus wood fire they cook with is worth it all by itself. The sheer variety of fish and seafood is huge, and each is offered cooked several different ways. The wine list is very good and reasonably priced, and the service is excellent.
They have 2 locations: 6707 W. Sand Lake Road at Canada Ave, and 7005 County Road 46a at International Parkway in Lake Mary. Of the two I highly recommend the Lake Mary location, as it caters more to the locals and not the tourists. Take I-4 east to exit 101a and turn left. At International Parkway turn left again, then a 3rd time into the shopping center.
