What to wear to be photographed

When we spend good money on professional photographs, we all want to look our best! Here’s some tips on what to wear, to ensure *you’re* the star of the photo, and not the cartoon character on your t-shirt:

*Turtle necks and v-necks are flattering to almost anyone, when worn in a classic style. Avoid especially wide collars or bulky turtle necks.

*Cover the arms and legs! Showing too much skin will bring the eye away from the face, calling attention to all those parts that tend to look bigger in photos!

*Dress above AND below the ankle. Sometimes the feet will show up, be sure your socks and shoes are up for the task, and coordinated with the rest of your outfit.

*Cut hair at least one week before the session, so you’re comfortable with the look and styling of your ‘do. Men should be carefully groomed, or clean shaven.

And above all, be sure you’re comfortable with the photographer and your clothing! Discomfort is hard to hide from the camera’s penetrating eye!
