How I Deal With Jet Lag
I’m a pretty regular traveler, and jet lag is my constant enemy. I’ve found a few things that have helped me regulate my sleep as much as possible being halfway around the world. First, I will try to stack my sleeping pattern before the trip to match my destination as close as possible. If I know I will be waking up in an area that is five hours ahead, I will go to bed two hours earlier than usual on the three days before my trip. This helps ease my body into that schedule. My other secret weapon is taking melanin supplements before I go to bed at my new destination. I find that I will often be able to sleep right through to morning if I take the melanin and stack my schedule properly. Even if I end up waking for a few minutes, I am always able to fall right back asleep. I wake up the next morning feeling ready and willing to meet the day head on!
